Participation -
All OA Professed are expected to participate in HE, Noon Office, Evening Prayer, mutual spiritual
guidance, book discussions, chapter, common meals; social times. Companions may
participate in everything unless there is cause for a meeting of
only Professed. Guests -- as agreed upon.
Mutual Spiritual Guidance
- Our format will be: Each Professed Member offers 1. A situation or reflection on his/her life and leadership in the congregation (or other work) in relation to
the Rule as able, especially the Promise; 2. The presenter will suggest a process; for use (facilitator, any steps, etc.). We assume that at least a first
round of response will be by going around the circle so each may speak. 3. Responses are offered that explore strategic issues, and the Promise, offer
advice, reflect back what is being heard, etc.; After several presentations the group may want to look back over the presentations and do more focused work
related to the Rule and Promise; 3. If there are more than 6 people to present we will break into smaller groups.
Members and companions are welcome to all sessions. Presenters for
MSG are just members.
